SIGHT LINES, by conceptual sculptor Marla Sweitzer, is an expression of geologic time, resembling weathered rock formations and earth architecture.
"Using three-dimensional ceramic forms as a painting surface, I adopt the structures of architecture to investigate the relationship between wholeness in geometry and inner light in color."
Marla Sweitzer is a California based sculptor who has exhibited at Art Space Gallery (CA), Jason McCoy Gallery (NY) and Ewing Gallery of Art and Architecture (TN). This is her first exhibit in the Pacific Northwest.
She received an MFA from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and a BA from Centre College.
