Murakoshi Shigaraki Large Cup in white and slate tones.

4" diameter x 4" tall

 

Takuma Murakoshi born in 1954, Kyoto Japan. Using only mountain soil from Shigaraki mixed with natural ash, then fired for many hours in high heat. The products just out of the kiln are only half complete. After being used for some years on a daily basis, they gain maturity and patina. Using the pieces daily make them almost a part of the owner's body, and complete.
