Furniture Marolles
Housewright is proud to be the Pacific Northwest’s exclusive representative of the Furniture Marolles Chair.
This licensed reproduction was originally created during the 1950s in France by Jean Touret as a milking stool for his neighbor. Shortly thereafter, fewer than 100 chairs were created by the cooperative Artisans of Marolles.
Today, Studio Carneros is hand-crafting the Marolles collection from American White Oak and forged steel using centuries-old methods that leave evidence of the maker’s hand. Today’s proportions and refinement, however, identify this collection as a modern re-design. Thus, the Marolles chair is current and historic. Truly timeless.
The Marolles Collection is available at Housewright to sit test and direct order with a 12-14 week lead time.
